This BikeFlip Privacy Statement is effective for the collection, use, and other forms of processing of personal data by BikeFlip (“BikeFlip B.V.”) in connection with our services, BikeFlip brand products, and this website.

Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

BikeFlip B.V. (Industrieweg 34-15, Maarssen, Netherlands) is responsible for all collection and processing of your personal data in connection with the BikeFlip brand products, services, and websites.

Why do we collect your personal data?

If you choose to register your personal data, contact us, or visit our websites, we collect some personal data from you. We may process this personal data for the following purposes:

2. To provide customer service, including services related to purchasing services and/or products, fulfilling warranty obligations and product recalls for our services and those of affiliated companies, and handling complaints and requests for information;

4. To process your BikeFlip account;

Which personal data do we collect?

The exact data we collect depends on what you use and how you use it. Generally, we collect and use three categories of data:

Data you provide:This includes data you enter when you visit our websites or use our products or services. For example, your name, address, place of residence, gender, email address, phone number, age, birth date, BikeFlip products you've purchased, the account name and passwords you create, bank details for paying for BikeFlip products, etc.

Data collected through sensors:Many products are equipped with one or more sensors or use the sensors of the devices on which the products are run. Examples of sensors include GPS receivers, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth receivers, a camera, and touchscreens. In accordance with the purposes, the data collected about you and the devices used are sent to BikeFlip B.V. and other external parties who need the data to provide the agreed services to BikeFlip B.V.

Metadata:This includes data that is collected or automatically generated while you use BikeFlip websites, products, or services. Metadata is often collected or generated when you use a computer device or when you send data over a computer network, such as the internet. This data includes data used in the user interface and during other device activities, as well as IP addresses, unique device IDs, MAC addresses of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices, cookies, and data from computer activities.

BikeFlip also engages third parties such as Google for analyzing data about your website use and for personalizing the website and communication, and displaying relevant offers and advertisements. BikeFlip does not send data such as name, address, email address, or other directly identifying data to these parties for these purposes. Google may receive personal data about you by collecting it with cookies. If you choose to register your personal data in one of the above ways and explicitly consent or visit our websites and accept the cookies, you authorize BikeFlip B.V. and its suppliers to collect, store, use, disclose for legal purposes, and otherwise process your personal data in accordance with the purposes described above.

If you have given consent for the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.

How do we share or transfer your personal data?

BikeFlip B.V. may also share your personal data with external parties to carry out certain activities on behalf of BikeFlip B.V. BikeFlip B.V. requires that these external parties process and protect your personal data carefully. Other than described in this Privacy Statement, BikeFlip B.V. will not sell, rent, lease, or offer your personal data to external parties to use your personal data for their own purposes.

BikeFlip B.V. may sell (a part of) a business to another company. If such a business is related to BikeFlip, such a transfer of ownership may include the transfer of your personal data to the new owner.

How long do we keep your personal data?

After you have made use of the opt-out option or deleted your account, your personal data will be deleted within a reasonable period. We have a retention policy for this and only keep the personal data that is necessary for compliance with legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements.

Furthermore, you can request insight into your stored personal data, its origin, and to whom or what entities that data is provided, and for what purpose it is stored at any time.
