BikeFlip is immediately looking for a Flipper who enjoys delivering children's bicycles in our box truck and electric bicycle!
Where are we standing right now?
Children grow, bikes do not. And BikeFlip is growing with you! BikeFlip offers a solution for all children who quickly outgrow their bicycles: a monthly subscription to a second-hand children's bicycle including repair and exchange service at home. This helps relieve the parents' worries and puts a smile on the children's faces. All bicycles are second-hand, which ensures that everyone can contribute to a sustainable and circular economy and can enjoy all bicycles for as long as possible. Does the bicycle no longer fit? Then we exchange it for a larger size and another child can be made happy with the returned bicycle. Our goal is to reduce the mountain of more than 4 million unused bicycles, relieve parents of worries through our great service and make children happy with our beautiful bicycles.
What are you going to do?
As our one and only Flipper, you will deliver and collect bicycles 1 to 2 days a week in the Utrecht region. You can do this in our box truck or on our electric cargo bike! We plan the specific days in consultation and are fixed days for each study block. Ideal to combine with your studies. The work is varied. You start in the morning by loading the bicycles for that day together with the workshop manager. After this, you will discuss the route and details together while enjoying a cup of coffee and then set off independently. During your route you drop off bicycles, pick up bicycles and sometimes carry out minor repairs. We will teach you the skills for this during our training day at the workplace. At the end of the day you unload the car together and discuss what happened. Working at BikeFlip means that you have plenty of time to chat with parents or make children extra happy by handing out stickers and coloring pages.
Who are you?
- You want to be an ambassador of our circular BikeFlip story.
- You are independent and assertive.
- You are positive, enthusiastic and the face of Bikeflip!
- You have good communication skills and are a team player.
- You are in possession of a driving license B, experience driving a van is an advantage.
- You enjoy making children in the Utrecht region happy with a new bicycle.
- You have an affinity with (and repairing) bicycles and the circular economy is an advantage.
