Dikke Banden Race
A real official bike race where positivity and enthusiasm take center stage. Participation is completely free! Everyone from 2 to 12 years old can join in their own age group. Safety is a top priority, so wearing a helmet (available for loan) is mandatory, and the course is traffic-free all day. LAURA
On Tuesday afternoon, July 3rd, join LAURA for a delightful ride with children and/or grandchildren. The start is in Alphen aan den Rijn (from the lower hall of the Parkrestaurant at Avifauna). The ride is approximately 15 kilometers, and along the way, you'll encounter various surprises that are fun for the kids! Utrecht Fietscircus
For children aged 4 to 12, this is a perfect event focused on the joy and versatility of cycling. It's also a day full of fun and educational activities for parents, family, and friends. Climate Classic
For slightly older children, the Climate Classic will take place in De Bilt on June 21st. Join more than 2000 others as you ride along the 'future' coastline of the Netherlands, a future we hope never becomes reality. You can get sponsored for this ride to prevent the sea level, which has already risen by 20 cm in the past 100 years, from rising further. This year, there are additional 40-kilometer routes that might be suitable for your family!
