How do you choose the right size for a 6-year-old?

Age is, of course, not the only factor; your child's height is the main guide for choosing the correct wheel size. For 6-year-olds, we use these handy rules of thumb:

When do you choose 16 inch?This size is ideal if your child wears clothing size 104 to 110(approximately 105 to 115 cm tall). It's the perfect size for children who want some extra control and stability. Because they can easily reach the ground with their feet, this gives them extra confidence when starting and stopping.
When do you choose 18 inch?This is the ideal 'intermediate size' for children with clothing size 110 to 116(approximately 110 to 120 cm tall). Many 6-year-olds who already cycle smoothly and independently move directly to this size. This gives them a bit more speed, while the bike remains easy to handle.

If you still have doubts after measuring, don't worry. Upon delivery, we will check with you and your child to ensure the bike is properly adjusted.
