At BikeFlip we tinker with bicycles... and the future
BikeFlip is more than just a bike subscription. We're a social enterprise with a mission. In our workshop in Utrecht, discarded children's bikes are given a second life, thanks to the expertise of our team: people who discover their talents with us and get back into the swing of things.
How we work
3 workshops
Our workshops are all about reuse and development. We train new bicycle technicians in a hands-on learning environment where growth is key. This way, we combine technical skills with social and sustainable impact.
Our bike flippers
Behind every colleague lies a story, and we take that seriously. In our workplace, you don't work anonymously, but together. Here, people grow step by step in their roles, build skills, and discover their strengths. This way, we create opportunities that lead to the prospect of permanent employment.
Our bicycles
Every children's bike that leaves our workshop is thoroughly refurbished and ready for a second life. We make what was once discarded reliable and safe again. This way, we give back value to materials and ensure sustainable mobility for young cyclists."Our workshop is where rusty frames shine again and where invisible talent is seen again."

What have we achieved
You can find us in Utrecht, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
We train new talent and thus save even more bicycles.
Every year we give 5,000 bicycles a second life.
The story behind BikeFlip
BikeFlip started in 2019 at a recycling center in Utrecht, where student Casparis Beyer spotted a perfect, bright pink children's bike among the scrap metal. For him, this was the perfect example of a broken system: why produce new when we have gold in our hands? He salvaged the bike and laid the foundation for a circular subscription service. His fellow student Paul Remie soon joined him to develop this ideal into a professional social enterprise.
Together, they share a single belief: entrepreneurship is about impact, not quick profits for shareholders. That's why BikeFlip is entirely owned by the company, and every euro goes back into its mission. Casparis and Paul prove every day that economic value can be perfectly combined with social benefit: by reducing waste and offering people in the workplace a new future.
