Vacancy: Flipper
Children grow, bicycles do not!
BikeFlip delivery person, the so-called “Flipper”, the face of the company and therefore has a crucial role in delivering the upcycled children's bicycles to our customers. The Flipper is a friendly ambassador of the company, who provides families with a beautiful, suitable and working children's bicycle. The work consists of loading bicycles into the bus, driving from customer to customer and repairing, collecting and flipping bicycles. In addition, you provide the parents with advice and help the children onto the saddle.
Where are we now?
Children grow, bikes do not. And BikeFlip grows with them! BikeFlip offers a solution for all children who quickly outgrow their bicycle: a monthly subscription to a second-hand children's bicycle including repair and exchange service at home. This helps to relieve the parents' worries and puts a smile on the children's faces. All bicycles are second-hand, which ensures that everyone can contribute to a sustainable and circular economy and that all bicycles can be enjoyed for as long as possible. Does the bicycle no longer fit? Then we will exchange it for a larger size and another child can be made happy with the handed-in bicycle. Our goal is to reduce the mountain of over 4 million unused bicycles, to relieve the parents' worries through our fantastic service and to make children happy with our beautiful bicycles.
What are you going to do?
As a Flipper, you will deliver and collect bicycles in our delivery area 1 to 2 days a week. You do this with our cargo van or on our electric cargo bike! We plan the days you work in consultation and they are planned as fixed days for each study block. Ideal to combine with your studies.
The work is varied. You start in the morning by loading the bikes for that day together with the workshop manager. After this, you discuss the route and details together while enjoying a cup of coffee and then you set off independently. During your route, you drop off bikes, pick up bikes and sometimes carry out a small repair. We teach you the skills for this during our training day at the workshop. At the end of the day, you unload the car together again and discuss how it went. Working at BikeFlip means that you have all the time to chat with parents or make children extra happy by handing out stickers and coloring pages.
